The Lundy Island Race is unlike any other—a half marathon of pristine, rugged clifftops and wildlife-encrusted tracks on a granite outcrop in the Bristol Channel. It is a race that requires logistics, a boat crossing, and a bit of grit.

'Her Weekend' is designed to take the weight off your shoulders. We’ve built a supportive, women’s-only environment where the logistics are handled, the environment is non-pressurised, and the focus is entirely on your experience. Stay in a stunning sea-view home in Mortehoe, join a community of like-minded women, and let us take care of the rest.

Accommodation & Space

  • 3 Nights in Mortehoe: Stay in a beautiful, hand-picked home overlooking the North Devon coast.

  • Choice of Bedroom: Options for shared or private rooms to suit your comfort.

  • Non-Pressurised Environment: Plenty of personal time to sit with a coffee, look at the sea, and just be.

The Race Experience (Included!)

  • Race Entry: Guaranteed entry to the sold-out Outeredge Lundy Island Race ( half marathon).

  • Return Boat Crossing: We handle your travel aboard the private boat from Ilfracombe to the island and back.

  • Hassle-Free Transport: We provide the shuttle to and from the ferry terminal on race day.

Nourishment & Connection

  • Home-Cooked Meals: Athlete-led breakfasts and evening meals designed for endurance and recovery.

  • Female Host: Guided by a dedicated Race Home host to ensure the weekend runs smoothly.

  • Guest Speaker: An informal Friday night fireside chat with a local expert to get you inspired and prepared.

Movement & Recovery

  • Guided Shake-out Run: A gentle intro to the North Devon trails to find your legs.

  • Yoga Session: A dedicated flow to stretch out pre-race nerves.

  • The Recovery Pod: Full access to our Pulsio Pro compression boots and ice baths to ensure you walk away feeling restored, not wrecked.


The Itinerary

  • Friday: Arrive from 4 PM. Settle into your sea-view home, meet your fellow runners over a nourishing dinner, and enjoy an informal talk from our guest speaker.

  • Saturday: Breakfasyt, followed by a slow morning, time to explore the area, got to the beach, have a walk. A guided shake-out run along the Mortehoe cliffs followed by a group yoga session in the afternoon. Plenty of time for sea-watching and prep. Evening meal.

  • Sunday (Race Day): Early breakfast. Then we head to Ilfracombe to catch our 'Raceboat' to Lundy. An iconic race of incredible island trails, a finish-line celebration at the Marisco Tavern (if you want to), and a boat ride home. Recovery boots available at the finish line. Evening recovery session in the Pod. Evening meal.

  • Monday: A final slow breakfast together before departures.
